After meeting with your English speaking guide and boarding your comfortable motor-coach, come along on this panoramic drive through via della Libertà, the Palermo shopping area, Politeama square, Massimo Opera House, via Cavour, the Foro Italico, a large green area on the seafront of Palermo driving along the Mura delle Cattive, paved terraces located on top of the walls, which flank the façades of imposing buildings and you will continue up to Corso Tukory. Drop-off and visit one of the historical markets in Palermo, worldwide known due to their uniqueness.
Located in Palermo historical center, Ballarò market is the oldest and biggest among the markets of the city, with fresh fruit and vegetables, cheese, meat, fish and even more.  A stroll among the stalls of these market can be a time travel in the City’s past. The road is literally overrun with wooden boxes containing goods, vendors constantly screaming  and some of them almost singing to advertise the good quality and good price of their products. From the market you will continue on foot walking along Piazza Bellini, Piazza  Pretoria admiring the marvellous fountain that was designed in 1552 by Francesco Camillani, a Tuscan artist. The fountain has three concentric basins arranged on different levels.
All around are statues representing monsters, mythological creatures, sirens and animal heads. Because of the nudity of the statues, the square is also known as “Piazza della Vergogna”, the Square of Shame. Then re-join your motor-coach and you will be travelling up to Il Capo Market, characterized by the colors and shouts of sellers. It is the ultimate fish market, although there is also so much more, including fragrant spices. Entering through the Carini Gate, the main entrance, and after a few meters you will start a tasting of Sicilian food stopping at Sit & Mancia restaurant and at Dainotti’s where you can taste all the typical Palermo’s foods. You will finish tasting a strawberry cup and drinking an orange juice. Afterwards, walk to Piazza Indipendenza and by motor-coach up to your hotel with stop in Piazza Castelnuovo for those who wish to stay in the downtown.
